SUPPORT CREW

The road doesn't move without you.

This isn’t about holding water bottles. It’s about holding the whole thing together.

We’re looking for people who get it.

People who show up, not for credit — but because they know it matters.

If that’s you, sign up. If it’s not, that’s okay too.

All crew expenses (accommodation, meals, transport, everything) are covered by the event and no support crew members will be required to pay anything towards the event. All members of the support crew will be compensated for their time.

What's Required?

Being part of the support crew isn’t just about showing up - it’s about showing up for the runners and for the mission. There will be 6 of you and 11 runners. You’re the backbone of this journey. The glue that holds the madness together. The energy behind the scenes that keeps the show on the road. Here’s what will be expected of you - and why you’re so important:

Be adaptable & ready for anything.

From navigating dirt roads to setting up camp in the wind, the terrain and conditions will change constantly. Your mindset needs to be flexible, problem-solving needs to be second nature, and your attitude needs to stay solid - even on the tougher days.

Early mornings, late nights.

You’ll be up before sunrise and sometimes moving well into the evening - prepping food, helping runners recover, driving gear, setting up or breaking down camp, and always staying one step ahead of the runners’ needs.

Drive, carry, set up, support.

You’ll rotate between driving 4x4s, setting up camp, managing runners, preparing nutrition and hydration, and making sure gear is where it needs to be. You’ll help with tents, water refills, equipment loads, and anything else that keeps the wheels turning.

Cheer squad and emotional support.

You’re not just logistics - you’re the vibe. You bring the hype, the hugs when spirits drop, the energy when legs are tired. Whether it’s blasting music from the 4x4, a quick pep talk, or a shared laugh around the fire - your presence makes a difference.

Stay organized and communicate well.

You’ll be trusted with routes, schedules, gear lists, emergency contact points, and keeping to daily timelines. Clear communication between crew, runners, and organisers is key to making this thing smooth and safe.

Respect the space and the runners.

The runners will be pushing their limits. Your role is to support, not to take over. Keep your energy up but never overshadow. Be dependable, be compassionate, and help create the kind of environment where everyone thrives.

You need to actually be a runner.

You don’t have to be an elite athlete, but you must have logged miles. You must understand pacing, fueling, bonking, chafing, tantrums, and post-run highs. You’ll be called on to pace, jog sections, read runner body language, and help with recovery techniques that only runners truly understand. This isn't a passive role - it's an active one that needs experience.

The Bottom Line?

You are an essential part of this journey. You’re helping people do something they’ll remember forever. It’s also going to be unreal, and you’ll walk away with memories just as epic as the runners.

If you’re all in, we’re all in.
